Since I was a child and watching my dad run his own business I felt that I would like to do the same thing. Working for others as an employee taught me some valuable lessons that I use today. Looking at things sometimes from a different angle excite me and causes me to try several things at a time. The love of creating things I guess led me to try a lot of ventures, some working, others failing.
Today my wife and I own and operate JKL Properties consisting of several rental properties and I actively buy and sell real estate in Robeson and surrounding counties. I began real estate investing in 1998.
As of January 2010 we started our Mobile Meat Market, Inc. We sell retail meats and fish from a truck offering home delivery.
Also in 2010 we opened Carolina Casket Sales, Inc. in the same office that we ran our photography business that I started in 1979. We offer at discounted prices high quality 18 and 20 gauge caskets. we also offer wood caskets and urns for cremation.
Business excites me and the more diversified the better I like it. We have a small ebay business that we offer some real estate products, information products, and some caskets.
I have a few other ventures that I would like to see come to fruition. Maybe you would be interested in a joint venture!
